SERVE | PENETRATE | IMPACT
Every Wednesday at 18:30, we gather for our Weekly Prayer and Intercession meeting. This is not just another church service; it is the spiritual engine room of RUCC HANKEY.
We believe that lasting change in our community doesn't happen by human effort alone. Our vision to serve, penetrate, and impact Hankey begins on our knees. Here, we unite our hearts to stand in the gap for our neighbours, our town, and our nation. We engage in focused prayer, tearing down strongholds and inviting God's presence to move in power.
If you are hungry to see genuine transformation and want to be part of the spiritual backbone of our church, join us on Wednesdays at 18:30. Let’s pray the kingdom into our community.
Welcome to RUCC Hankey. We are more than just a Sunday gathering; we are a family of believers committed to a God-given purpose. As part of the greater RUCC Ministries family, our heartbeat is to see lives transformed and our community changed for the better.
Our vision is bold and clear: to build and plant churches that will serve, penetrate, and impact their communities. We believe that the church is not just a building we walk into, but a people we walk out. For us, this means equipping every believer to add real value to the world around them by being spiritually sound in their faith, socially relevant in their actions, and morally upright in their character.
To achieve this, we are dedicated to our mission: to establish and build cell-based churches open to all cultures and people groups nationwide. We believe that church happens in everyday life, and our small groups (cells) are where deep connections are formed and where faith becomes practical. Here in Hankey, you will find a place where you belong, regardless of your background.
We also recognize that we are part of a bigger story. We actively network with like-minded churches around the world to share resources and wisdom, but our feet are firmly planted in our town. Our goal is to train people to be purposeful and effective within their communities—starting right here in Hankey.
Whether you are searching for answers or looking for a place to serve, you are welcome at RUCC Hankey. Come and be part of a church that is spiritually alive, socially engaged, and dedicated to making a difference.
Our Men's Ministry exists to build a brotherhood of purpose. We believe that when men are spiritually sound and morally upright, they have the power to change their families and their community.
Our local gatherings focus on genuine connection and growth. But to keep our fire burning, we link up with the wider body at the annual RUCC PE Men's Conference. This is a must-attend event where we gather with men from across the region for powerful sessions that challenge us to step up and lead.
Whether it's a mid-week braai or the big conference in PE, the RUCC Men are on a mission to grow together.
The Ladies' Ministry at RUCC Hankey is a place where women from all walks of life come together to connect, grow, and support one another. Throughout the year, we gather for fellowship, prayer, and relevant teaching that speaks to the unique joys and challenges women face. It is in these moments that we build lasting friendships and strengthen our faith together.

The future of our community is in our youth, and at RUCC Hankey, we are passionate about seeing them set on fire for God. We meet every Friday at 17:30 for a time of powerful worship, relevant teaching, and genuine connection. It's a place to bring your friends, ask the hard questions, and grow in a faith that is spiritually sound and morally upright. We also believe in creating moments that leave a lasting impact. Our annual youth camp is the highlight of our year—a dedicated time away to break from routine, dive deep into God's presence, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Every year, RUCC Ministries Gqeberha hosts its highly anticipated Power Weekend Conference—a multi-day gathering designed to shift mindsets, ignite faith, and position believers for a new season of growth. True to its name, this is not just a series of church services; it is a spiritual milestone on the calendar.
The conference is built around a prophetic and relevant theme. Past themes, such as "Expansion: For God's Glory," drawn from the prayer of Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:10, set the tone for what attendees can expect: a deep desire for God to enlarge their territory and impact.
